This is a question often asked by those members of the community that choose to help with our efforts during Stuff the Bus. This year, there has been some question as to whether or not the food stays here in the Camas/Washougal community and I can assure you that YES…it does.

Let me give you a little bit of history about Stuff the Bus…
Stuff the Bus was developed to benefit the Children’s Home Society and the Christmas Activities Relief Organization Limited or C.A.R.O.L. Program run by the Camas Fire Department. This program is the main source of food for the Children’s Home Society, located in Washougal and serving all of East Clark County. Over the years, our program has grown immensely with the generosity of our community members in both Camas and Washougal. For this reason, we have been able to expand our list of recipients and we are happy to say, this couldn’t have happened at a better time.

The Camas Washougal Business Alliance is so glad to be able to add the American Legion of Skamania County and Military Families in Camas as well as the Interfaith Treasure House as beneficiaries to our program. As food supplies for the Local Treasure house are dwindling, our community is stepping up to help.

We are going for a combined goal of 85,000 pounds of food in 2013 and we need your help. This food stays local and could be helping your neighbor or your friend. Thank you for your continued support for Stuff the Bus and we look forward to, with your help, reaching our goal!
